Tradecopia operates a no-refund policy. This article explains why, the limited situations where an exception may be considered, what an approved refund would involve, and how to raise a request or a billing concern.
You might be experiencing this if:
You want to request a refund for your Tradecopia subscription
You were charged and want to know whether you can get your money back
You forgot to cancel after your free trial and were charged
You ran into a problem and are wondering whether it qualifies for a refund
You are thinking about disputing a charge with your bank or card provider
Why Tradecopia has a no-refund policy
Tradecopia operates a no-refund policy. To make sure you can evaluate the software before you commit, the Pro desktop plan includes a 7-day free trial. The trial is there so you can run Tradecopia through your own workflow and confirm it does the job for you before you pay for anything.
The web plans (Pro+ Lite and Pro+) do not currently include a free trial. As helpful context: the core software is the same across every plan. What changes between the desktop plan and the web plans is the infrastructure the software runs on, not the application itself. So the Pro desktop trial is a fair way to experience what Tradecopia does before choosing any plan, and the web plans run that same software on faster infrastructure.
Before you request a refund
Most refund requests come from problems that turn out to be quick fixes. If something is not working the way you expect, contact the Tradecopia support team first, before requesting a refund or raising a dispute. Many issues, especially on first use, are configuration related and can be resolved quickly once we look at your setup with you.
If it turns out the problem is genuinely on Tradecopia's side, that is a valid basis for the team to review your situation. A request that only states the software "did not work," without details we can look into, is harder to act on, because in most cases the underlying issue is something we can help you resolve. Reaching out first gives us the chance to fix the problem and gives your situation the fairest review.
Annual and quarterly subscriptions
Annual and quarterly plan subscriptions are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. This is acknowledged in writing before purchase is confirmed. If you hold an annual or quarterly subscription, a refund is not available.
Monthly subscriptions — when an exception may be considered
Tradecopia's standard policy is no refunds, and refunds are not guaranteed. If you are a first-time subscriber with specific circumstances, your request may be reviewed individually, and the team will confirm the outcome with you.
Situations that may be considered include:
You forgot to cancel after your free trial and were charged for the first time
You attempted to cancel but the cancellation did not process correctly
A genuine emergency where you have never previously requested a refund
A problem you raised with support that was confirmed to be caused on Tradecopia's side
Each request is reviewed case by case. The team confirms whether an exception applies to your situation.
If an exception is granted
Where a refund is granted as an exception, the amount returned may be reduced, at Tradecopia's discretion, by:
A payment processing fee
A deduction for the period you have already actively used the software
This means the amount returned may be less than your original charge, and the team confirms any final figure with you. An approved refund is typically a one-time courtesy. If a refund is granted once on an account, it is unlikely to be repeated.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you feel you were charged incorrectly or want your money back, contact the Tradecopia support team before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider. We would much rather work through it with you directly, and if your situation qualifies under the exceptions above, we can handle it that way. Opening a dispute does not change the no-refund policy, and it is usually slower to resolve than contacting us.
If you were charged because you cancelled late
If you were charged because you did not cancel before your free trial or billing period ended, contact the Tradecopia support team as soon as possible. You can cancel your subscription yourself at any time by signing in to the Tradecopia portal and managing your subscription from your account. If you are unable to cancel yourself, open a ticket from the portal and we will help. Charges from a late cancellation may not be refundable, but we would still like to hear from you. For step-by-step cancellation help, see Cancelling your Tradecopia subscription.
How to submit a refund request
When you contact us, include your account email and a clear description of your situation and the reason for the request. Contact the Tradecopia support team with these details rather than raising a dispute. The team reviews each request individually and confirms the outcome with you.
Remember: refunds are not guaranteed, and annual and quarterly subscriptions are non-refundable.
