This article explains how to apply a promo or affiliate code to your Tradecopia subscription, and what to do when the code field is not shown or a code will not apply.
You might be experiencing this if:
There is nowhere to enter a promo code at checkout, or the field is not showing
You want to apply a code you missed during signup, or have the team add it for you
Your payment failed and now the system says you have already used a code
You switched plans (for example Pro to Pro+ Lite) and can no longer apply a code
A code you have is being rejected or shows as invalid
Which codes work, and on which plans
Discounts apply to your first month only, and each account can use one code over its lifetime. Codes are not stacked.
Pro and Pro+ Lite: use the TC code (capitalised) or an affiliate code at checkout.
Pro+: there is no public code. To get a first-month discount on Pro+, contact the Tradecopia support team and we will apply an internal code for you.
Standard promo codes apply to monthly billing only. Annual and quarterly plans use a separate, application-based discount instead. See How Tradecopia subscriptions, billing, and refunds work.
Where to enter your code
When you sign up for the Pro plan, the code field appears at the Stripe checkout. Enter your TC or affiliate code there before you confirm.
If you do not see the field, or you are subscribing to Pro+, do not keep retrying and do not create a second account. Contact the Tradecopia support team, tell us the code you want, and we will apply it to your account.
Why the code field sometimes isn't shown
Once your account is on record as having used, or attempted to use, a code, the field is removed. Three situations cause this:
You started the free trial and skipped the code. The Pro free trial shows a code field at signup. If you did not enter your code there, you cannot add it yourself before your first charge, because the field is no longer available. Contact the support team before your billing date and we will apply it.
Your first payment failed. If your first charge does not go through, for example because of insufficient funds, that invoice is voided. When you try to pay again, the system reads it as a second attempt to use the code and treats your account as having already used one, so the field is removed. You were not actually charged. Contact the support team and we will apply the code.
You already used a code, then switched plans. Because each account can use one code over its lifetime, a code you used on Pro will not apply when you move to Pro+ Lite. Contact the support team and we will apply the discount internally.
Other reasons a code may not apply
The code has expired. Some codes are campaign-specific and have an end date.
The code is for new subscribers only. The TC code and affiliate codes apply to new subscriber accounts. If you have previously held a subscription, request a returning-user discount instead.
You are on an annual or quarterly plan. Standard codes apply to monthly billing only. Annual and quarterly plans use the separate application-based discount.
You are a returning subscriber. Returning-user discounts are handled by the team, not at checkout. See How to get a discount as a returning Tradecopia subscriber.
What to do
In every case above, the fix is the same: contact the Tradecopia support team, tell us the code you want to use, and we will apply it to your account. Do not create a second account to get a discount. This triggers a temporary block on all linked accounts.
