Can I run Tradecopia on more than one device or share my subscription?

How Tradecopia licensing works across devices: one active instance per license, switching devices, and why subscriptions can't be shared.

You can use your Tradecopia subscription on more than one device, but only one active instance runs at a time, and a subscription is for a single user. You cannot share it with someone else or run two instances at once.

You might need this article if:

  • You want to use Tradecopia on a second computer, or switch between devices

  • You want to know if you can run Tradecopia on more than one machine at the same time

  • You want to share your subscription with someone else, or run a separate instance per VPS or prop firm

  • You want to log in on your phone while your computer is open

One subscription, one user, one active instance

Each Tradecopia subscription is a license for a single user, and only one instance runs at a time. You can move between devices, but you should not run two at the same time. A subscription cannot be shared between two people, and you cannot run separate instances at once, for example one per VPS or one per prop firm.

Switching devices on the desktop plan

On the desktop Pro plan, you can install and log in on more than one computer, but use only one at a time. To move from one computer to another:

  1. Log out on the first computer.

  2. Log in on the second computer.

Running the desktop app on two computers at the same time can cause conflicts, so always log out on one before using the other.

Accessing your web instance from more than one device

On the web plans (Pro+ Lite and Pro+), your setup lives in a single instance on Tradecopia's infrastructure. Logging in from a device simply gives you a window into that same instance. This means you can be logged in on your computer and also open your instance on your phone to check something. You will see the same thing in both places, because it is the same instance.

Do not run the desktop app and a web plan at the same time. Use one or the other.

Changing your device does not change your setup

Because your settings live in your instance, not on your device, switching to another computer, phone, or location on the same plan keeps all your copy groups, broker connections, and risk configuration. There is nothing to set up again.

This is different from changing your plan. A plan change provisions a new instance, so you reconfigure once on the new plan. See How do I change my Tradecopia plan? for what to expect there.
