How do I change my Tradecopia plan?

How to upgrade or switch your Tradecopia plan via the portal, what happens to your settings, and when the change takes effect.

You can change your Tradecopia plan at any time — either through your account on the Tradecopia portal, or by contacting the Tradecopia support team.

You might need this article if:

  • You want to upgrade from the Pro desktop plan to Pro+ Lite or Pro+

  • You want to switch between Pro+ Lite and Pro+

  • You want to downgrade to a different plan

  • You are unsure what happens to your settings and broker connections when you change

  • You want to know when the plan change takes effect

How to change your plan

Option 1 — Self-serve via the portal

  1. Log in to your account at tradecopia.com

  2. Go to your subscription or billing settings

  3. Select the plan you want to move to and confirm

Option 2 — Contact the team

What happens to your settings

The outcome depends on which direction you are switching.

Moving to or between cloud plans (Pro+ Lite or Pro+):
Your existing settings — copy groups, broker connections, and risk configuration — are migrated into the new plan. You do not need to set things up from scratch.

Moving from a cloud plan back to the Pro desktop plan:
Cloud-to-desktop moves require reconfiguration in the desktop app after you install it. Your cloud instance settings are not transferred to the desktop environment.

Your new access URL when switching to a cloud plan

Any move to or between cloud plans results in a new welcome email with a dedicated access URL (FQDN) for your new instance. This applies whether you are:

  • Upgrading from the Pro desktop plan to Pro+ Lite or Pro+

  • Switching between Pro+ Lite and Pro+

Use the URL in the welcome email to access your new environment. If your settings were migrated, you will find everything ready once you log in.

Note: Keep an eye on your inbox after confirming the plan change — the welcome email with your new URL is how you access your new instance.

When does the change take effect

We recommend switching plans at the end of your current billing period to avoid overlap. Your current plan remains active until the period ends, then the new plan activates.

If you want to switch while your subscription is still active mid-cycle, contact the Tradecopia support team. The team will look into the timing personally and confirm what applies in your situation.
