How to connect your Rithmic account to Tradecopia

Step-by-step guide to connecting a Rithmic account to Tradecopia, including system name configuration, gateway selection, and data feed compatibility.

This guide covers the complete setup process for connecting a Rithmic account to Tradecopia — including system name configuration, gateway selection, credential entry, and data feed compatibility boundaries.

Connection fields

The Rithmic credentials panel has four fields:

Step-by-step connection

  1. In Tradecopia, select Rithmic from the broker selection screen — the Rithmic credentials panel opens

  2. Confirm your System Name with your prop firm before entering anything — see the System Name Reference table below; using the wrong system name will prevent connection

  3. Set the Gateway to Chicago Area — this is recommended for all users regardless of firm or location

  4. Enter your Rithmic username and password as provided by your prop firm — these are your Rithmic credentials, not your prop firm portal login

  5. Click Connect to Rithmic Account

System name reference table

The system name is assigned by Rithmic to each prop firm. Using the wrong one is the most common cause of a failed connection — confirm with your firm before connecting.

This table is continuously updated. If your firm is not listed, ask your prop firm for your system name. If they cannot advise, try the generic system names below.

Generic system names

These are standard Rithmic system names that are not firm-specific. Use as a fallback when your firm has not provided a custom system name:

TradeSea and Rithmic-related platforms

TradeSea is a platform that uses Rithmic as its underlying data feed. Connecting TradeSea-based accounts follows the same Rithmic connection flow with one key difference — the system name:

  • Some brokers on TradeSea default to TradeSea as the system name

  • Other firms on TradeSea require their own firm-assigned system name

  • Always ask your prop firm which system name to use before attempting connection

Data feed compatibility — important boundary

Tradecopia supports Rithmic data feed only. This matters for platforms that support multiple data feeds.

Quantower is an example — it supports both Rithmic and DXFeed accounts. Whether a Quantower account can connect to Tradecopia depends on which data feed the account uses, not which platform it is accessed through:

MFFU accounts are a specific case — MFFU supports Quantower but routes through DXFeed, not Rithmic. MFFU accounts cannot be connected to Tradecopia.

The key question is always: is the account Rithmic-issued? If yes, it can be connected regardless of which trading platform accesses it. If it is DXFeed-issued, it cannot be connected.

Important notes

  • Rithmic credentials are provided by your prop firm — they are not created in Tradecopia

  • The system name is assigned by Rithmic to each prop firm — Tradecopia cannot determine this on your behalf

  • Chicago Area gateway is recommended for all users regardless of location

  • If your firm is not in the system name table and cannot advise, contact the Tradecopia support team — confirmed system names are added to the table as they are verified
