If some of your follower accounts have stopped receiving trades while others continue to replicate normally, the most likely cause is that the broker connection for the affected accounts has dropped inside Tradecopia. A dropped connection silently stops replication for every account assigned under it — the app keeps running and other connections are unaffected.
You might be experiencing this if:
Some follower accounts stopped getting trades mid-session while others kept receiving them
A specific group of followers all stopped at the same time
Most accounts are copying fine but a few aren't receiving anything
Why only some followers are affected
In Tradecopia, follower accounts are organised under broker connections. If a connection goes down, every follower account assigned to that connection stops receiving trades at the same time. Followers on other connections continue unaffected.
If multiple followers all stopped at the same time and they all share the same broker connection, the cause is at the connection level — not an issue with those individual accounts, the copy group, or the app itself.
How to resolve this
1. Check the connection status
Open the broker connections panel in Tradecopia. Find the connection used by the affected follower accounts and confirm it shows as active and connected — not just configured. A connection showing as disconnected or in an error state is the cause.
2. Reconnect
Use the reconnect option for the affected connection. If the session has timed out or credentials have expired, you may need to re-enter your login details.
3. Confirm the broker platform is reachable
Log into your broker's own platform or app to check it is not undergoing maintenance or experiencing an outage. If the broker itself is down, reconnection will not be possible until the outage resolves. Check the broker's status page or community channels for any outage notices.
4. Check your network and firewall
If the broker platform is reachable but Tradecopia still cannot connect, a firewall, VPN, or network policy on your machine may be blocking the connection. Try disabling your VPN temporarily to test.
Note: Steps 3 and 4 apply to Pro desktop only. On Pro+ Lite and Pro+, the broker connection runs on Tradecopia's infrastructure — local network settings and VPNs on your machine do not affect it. If you are on a cloud plan and the connection has dropped, contact the Tradecopia support team and we will investigate on the server side.
5. Confirm replication resumes
After reconnecting, monitor the next leader trade to confirm the affected follower accounts begin receiving copies again.
If the connection keeps dropping
Intermittent or recurring disconnections may indicate a WebSocket stability issue between Tradecopia and your broker. Contact the Tradecopia support team with the affected broker and connection — the team can check the session log to identify the pattern.
